Formed in the Fall of 2006, Bagbrown is a three piece juggernaut banging deep within the bowels of North Texas. The band knows and cares very little for modern, commercialized pop acts and derive most of their roots from the late nineteen-sixties and early nineteen-seventies. Fronted by the twenty-four year old Scott Heaton and endured by the scathing Steve Sayed & Jordan Benoit, Bagbrown's tone is shaped to resemble the more ghastly, yet at times, burlesque side of the rock lineage. However, that is not to define this outfit as utterly pessimistic and seedy. Aside from explicit sarcasm, much of their primitive repertoire implicitly underscores themes of hope and trust, personal innovation, motivation vs. ambition, while maintaining a holy deference for history, antiquity, and origin .
"North Texas band Bagbrown does a beautiful job of mixing etheral, dark and fragile sounds to form a wicked world all their own. While the chords and guitar work come straight from blues and early stoner rock, their intricate touch along with the macabre vocal style of front man Scott Heaton lend an air that hasn't been seen since the days of Cowboy Junkies or the Doors before them . . ."

"Spooky and spare, Denton three-piece Bagbrown bills itself as a "blues-rock" band, but Scott Heaton, Steve Sayed and Jason Ferguson (Jordan Benoit has since taken over drumming duties) have more expansive aims than just aping Jonny Lang. The group’s sound edges into distinctly psychedelic territory more than once, evoking the Doors during Siddhartha and Hindsight Might."
