About Me

Singer, Songwriter, Musician
After thirty-five years in the music business, I have had the privilege to work with some of the best musicians and entertain the finest audiences around the world. I was born in Virginia, but grew up mostly in Nashville, Tennessee. At the age of twelve, I started writing my first songs, highly inspired by the Sisters at Villa Maria Academy in Lynchburg, VIrginia where I attended school. They were terrific BEATLE FANS! They taught me so much. At fourteen, I joined the folk group at church called "FRIENDS IN TIME". Great group and best of friends, for real! I was hooked! Then I met my first girl band, "COLORS OF TIME". Talented gals! Around seventeen, I started jammin in the local clubs, with my rocknroll blues band, "SOUTHERN COMFORT", band members, Mike Vaughn. Jimmy Bolin and Eddie Allen. Very talented guys! There I met my fourth band, another girl group, "BARBARA ALLEN AND THE TENNESSEE HOT PANTS", later to become "BARBARA ALLEN AND LADY LUCK", later to become "OASIS", then finally,"GIRLSTOWN". WOW! We changed names as much as we changed clothes! We played a lot of civilian and military bases all over the USA, Europe, Canada, the Far East, and then some. One in particular was in Thule, Greenland. That was my first taste of "the road". We had a blast. The audiences were fantastic, probably because we were the only entertainment and we were the only women there at that time.(the 70's). Anyway, what a great Christmas and New Years spent with our troops. I would love to go back someday. There are so many fond memories. I was blessed to play with several other great bands, anywhere from RocknRoll, Blues to Country, "KENT WESTBERRY AND THE MEMORY MAKERS", "THE CAMERON ALAN BAND", "BRAT", "LOST CREEK" with (Ray Mosier, Rick Bernheimer and Chip Miller), just to name a few. After so many years on" the road", I finally made my move to Jacksonville, Florida where I have lived now for fourteen years. I have met a lot of wonderful friends and my most recent band here, including my husband. Life moves in mysterious ways. I lost two members of my band due to Cancer. One was my husband, Ray. I thank God every day for just having them in my life and for the great times we had together. I am a better person to have known them. That is what makes this CD so special.
Now it's time to get back to business. I am currently working on a new, more acoustic sounding CD with some old and new friends. I'll keep you posted. Thanks to all of you for your great support!
