About Me

Just Be
Being Bodine Victoria is not easy. This beautiful bombshell lives a life that people see exaggerated in commercials and music videos. On a typical day, she hits the gym, teaches, coaches cheerleading or holds after-school classes. From there it’s to Island FM Radio Station where she has her own radio show from 6 – 10pm. Studio sessions, rehearsals, writing, hosting television shows and researching articles for local newspapers take up the rest of her free-time.
So why the name ‘Be’? This multi-media threat has a number of titles under her belt ranging from Youth Ambassador, and teacher to writer, model and entertainer. She is the epitome of talent and more than happy to be called an opportunist. She is a self-described chameleon, adapting herself to the situation as needed; embracing the opportunity to just ‘Be’, no apologies, no restrictions, no excuses.
In July 2007, Be was signed to Frontline Productions and released her first Reggae song, ‘One’ on the Copy Cat Riddim produced by BuffBoo Music. ‘One’, a deeply sincere but cheerful love song proved to be a bonafide hit and is still making its rounds internationally. Since then, Be has released “Good Lovin” on the Jamdown Riddim and is in the process of producing an album. She has performed at AlphaSoundz’ ‘Beach-Fest’ featuring Buju Banton, Black Carpet Promotion’s ‘Love and Affection’ concert headlined by Pressure, The Baker Boy’s ‘Dancefest’ featuring such artists as Lady Saw, Movado and Bad Gyal Ce’Cile and at The SkyBox for the Jagged Edge Album Release Party and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Up until her re-emergence as ‘Be’, Bodine was well known as ‘J83Blaze’, the single fire-spitting vixen who conquered all of her male competitors at the Bahamas @ Sunrise’s Battle @ Sunrise – a live, televised freestyle rap competition in 2002. She was signed to Dunamus Soundz in 2003 and released two songs, ‘My First Love’ and ‘Pure Heat’ traveling to Jacksonville Florida and Los Angeles California with the label for group performances. Bodine began hosting ‘Caribbean Flava’ a Bahamian entertainment television show produced by Ikonz Entertainment.
She is no stranger to the stage or the microphone for that matter, having performed spoken word at the Ministry of Tourism’s Junkanoo Summer Festival’s Jazz at Sandy Port series in 2006, and Panache Production’s ‘Sirens’ and ‘Afro-Dz-Ac’ in 2003 and 2005 respectively.
In a nutshell, Be is the total package; talented, intelligent, humble, hard-working and socially conscious, balanced and beautiful. While some people try, she is who she is, just Be.Be's entertainment track record: Miss Bahamas World Swim Suit & Top Model of the World Competition June ‘08 Every Drop Counts (Blood Drive by BTC), June ‘08 Jazz Summer Bahamas – Caribbean Night, June ‘08 Steppin on the Shores ‘Craze’ After-Party, May ‘08 Reggae All-Starz – A Tribute to Bob Marley, March ‘08 A Celebration of Life, Love and a Tribute to Our Fallen Soldiers, February ‘08 Baker Boyz’ Dance Fest, December ‘07 Taurus Riley In Concert, November ‘07 Jagged Edge Album Release Party, October ‘07 Events by iCandy VIVA Thriller, October ‘07 Love and Affection, September ‘07 Beach Fest, August, ‘07 Ministry of Tourisms’ Summer Jazz Festival, Summer, ‘06I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

I’m afraid of crowds

To me it felt like being lead like a lamb to the slaughter.  The club was smokey and filled with rowdy Bahamians, kept indoors because of the inclement weather, fueled by liquor, and PISSED becau...
