Miras

Miras was born in the northern Iranian State of Mazandaran, an orange-blossom fragranted small city beside the Caspian sea. Her passion was Persian literature and singing. But after her father's death, the changed circumstances of her life led her at a very young age to leave her studies and live in Europe with her two sons... But despite the vulnerability of her life conditions, her study and learning about languages, art and music never stopped. That desire for learning more knowlege about the world around her is the reason she continues her higher education today in a highly accredited Southern Californian university, in the subject of political science. The love of literature and music and the unique quality of her voice drew her towards Persian classical music, and then to studying the Italian language and opera. She has also studied the piano and Santoor among other things. After moving to the United States. She also began writing her first book that combines fiction and history titled: " Miras" which is based on the character of her Great grandfather, the last Khan of the state, as the central figure. Her second book is titled "Safar Name. " It is the story of an artist who is passionate about Persian music, who travels to Los Angeles to sing and her various dealings with the politics associated with the Persian music industry. The novel sheds light on the Persian music industry/market which has more than 110 male singers and fewer than 10 good female singers, most of whom were already famous prior to the Iranian revolution of 1979.
