I've been an audio engineer on staff at Black Lodge Recording, Eudora, KS for over three years. We've done shit-tons of records for tons of folks. I also own my own studio called Hey! Bulldog Soundlabs. I studied under Trevor Sadler of Nine Inch Nails fame and was later schooled in Amsterdam, Holland at The School of Audio Engineering there.
I'm particularly drawn to angular avante garde music and very orchestrated pop. But, I also worship singer songwriters like Willie Nelson, Leonard Cohen, or Johnny Cash. I love really good guitar based rock bands, but there are a lot of really terrible ones clouding the landscape.
I have not yet produced or engineered my chart-topping MEGA-HIT. Although in just a few short years, I've produced, engineered, and/ or mixed projects involving members of UnderOath, the Almost, The Violent Femmes, The Get Up Kids, Slipknot (yes, that damn Slipknot) and Coalesce. I've also done projects for Universal Records artists Morello and Metal Blade artists The Ocean as well as recording The Josephine Collective who are currently signed to Warner Brothers records.
I'm also a musician. I play in a group called The Orchestra with New York guitarist Rick Robinett and Ryan Pope of the Get Up KIds. I also compose and write music under the title The Black and Tan.
