The Original Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax has been part of Los Angeles everyday life since July 1934. On that day a contingent of farmers pulled their trucks onto an expanse of land at the property, then known as Gilmore Island. They displayed their produce on the tailgates of their vehicles and one of the cities’ most famous institutions began. Earl B Gilmore, founder of the Farmers Market, Gilmore Stadium and Gilmore Field, at 3rd and Fairfax, is the namesake of EB’s beer and wine. Through the years Farmers Market has been the central meeting place for Angelinos and a must see tourist attraction. The best free live entertainment in Los Angeles is presented by EB’s Beer & Wine regularly on the West Patio making “Meet me at 3rd and Fairfax” one of the most common phrases in the city. Parking at Farmers Market is available in two lots; the first two hours are free with a validation from any Market merchant and the third is only $3.00.DOWN ON THE FARM is our roots rock music series featuring the best live music in town. Every Thursday night EB’s presents the finest homegrown talent playing country, rockabilly, rock & roll and Americana. The show begins at 8pm so don’t be late.
