Over the course of 30 years of music making & writing, Jay has fused many styles together with his creative productions. From bluegrass, country, rock and blues, both electric and acoustic, he has accomplished a unique style and sound.
Most recently, Jay has found himself on the white sandy shores of Siesta Key – a barrier island nestled quietly in the Southern Gulf Coast of Florida. His songs still portray a life spent searching for personal truth and vindication, however, Jay’s songs takes solace in the salt drenched respite that anyone who seeks to escape their everyday lives for a warm soft coastal town can relate to.
Bikini’s, Mountains, Mules and Moonshine, Tinsman’s 6th record in his long career, cleverly and eloquently combines visions of yesteryear with the sun-drenched days and tropical nights of life on the coast, leaving all who pass by with visions of a life traveled over 60 years from the farm to the sand.
