The Funky Kings

When it comes to the almost forgotten art of kicking out the jams, The Funky Kings are one of today's few keepers of the flame. The groups brand of groovin' blues-based, rock entails a spirit of spontaneous interaction and textural " breathing space" lacking in most rock music of the last three decades. The Funky Kings arrangments are born out of jam sessions, it's this approach that enables them to capture and harness the magical, musical interplay that results when four seasoned improvisors listen with big ears and draw inspiration from each others ideas. Formed in 2007 the group has been acumulating avid fans at a healthy rate ever since. The Funky Kings driving high energy shows have helped further the bands reputation on a grass roots level, as one of the hottest live acts around.
