One half of the London based twosome, Live Tech Rebelz; currently shaking the foundations of the international dance scene with their Afro inspired Tech, Droplethora at 22, has come a long way from where he began, in Johannesburg, South Africa over four years ago. His incredible passion for the sound of the underground has quickly amassed the respect of industry heavy weights, allowing him the platform to play alongside the likes of Axwell, A Guy Called Gerald, Mr C, Shane Watcha, Filth and Splendour, D Ramirez and Raymundo Rodriguez at events like Pure Pacha, Abstract, Twisted Disco, Zombies Ate My Brain and their own branded and exclusive event night, Excuse The Mess.
As the main residents, the recently launched Excuse The Mess Productions is their launch pad to showcase what the Live Tech Rebelz, as a savvy DJ and producer duo, is all about. They believe in intelligent and intense good vibes and already boast a consistent and enthusiastic fan base of punters whose music knowledge and taste is the most intrinsic part of their clubbing experience. With fellow Rebel and partner in crime, Floyd Lavine, this New Years Eve at The Egg superclub in London, will see the launch of their first record label, Uber Fresh Records.
Droplethora’s dedication to spreading musical epiphany has seen him study at the esteemed Point Blank Music School in London, nurturing and evolving his signature sound into an impressive musical force, and hosting a weekly radio show on Digitally Imported FM. Droplethora’s identifiable symphonic bass lines bring the dirtiest love to the dancefloor. An impressive array of produced and released tracks by Droplethora include; Dirty Love, Symphonic Bass, The General, Phantom Kick, Dirty Trix, Rudeboy and Sleepless Nights, several of which are signed to the More Music record label and have dominated the playlists of some of South Africa’s most valued dj’s.
Embracing the concept of live performance and regarding Dj’ing as a mere stage from which to exhibit his inimitable approach to music, Droplethora has snowballed his own phenomena to the point of no return. His consistent waves of slick music rebellion will take him painting the town all shades of debauched, from London to South Africa, Brazil, Ibiza and back.
