Back in 2000 RVCA was founded by PM Tenore of the US. His vision: "Create a design-driven brand, with roots based in an active lifestyle.... taking its roots in American workwear and adding contemporary tailoring for everyday... every situation". Conan Hayes joined with Pat's vision and it didn't take long for the fellas to win folks over with this new project defined by the balance of opposites coexisting together to form the world we live in.
One man that was down for this new clothing company and its unique Artist Network Program [ANP] was Australian Nathan Webster. He got involved in those early days and kicked around ideas around with the boys. After a brief hiatus spent chasing bucks doing the pro surfer thing Nathan rejoined the RVCA family in 2006 and became a partner in the Australian distribution. As well as trafficking this fine product around our sunburnt country, Nathan will also showcase the works of RVCA's talented peeps on our shores in his role as Australian Creative Director. Says Nathan: "We're not just doing RVCA Clothing in Oz… we're representing and building on the whole act – developing and showcasing talented artists, musicians, skaters, surfin’ hodads and a list of other gifted advocates – because you can't have one without the other.”
