The band draws influence from a diverse range of bands and by putting their own sound to this backdrop creates a refreshing take on the heavily laden world of rock.
2008 will see TVG return with a new arsenal of material, new recordings and maybe a small release. So far this year, the band recorded their first live TV session for sub.tv, and can be seen in student union bars across the country in the next coming weeks.
The Venus Gunsâ€™ live appearances in ’07 included main support to chart topping American rock band, Buckcherry on their UK Tour and Guilfest, playing the Rock Sound Stage supporting My Vitriol. A three week tour of the country with ex-little angels frontman Toby Jepson was met with great reviews and was TVG’s first full scale tour.
In 2006 The Venus Guns released their debut double A-side single You Done Something Wrong/Leadfoot produced by Adrian Newton (Maximo Park, CSS, Babyshambles) and mastered at Abbey Road Studios by Steve Rooke, achieving critical acclaim and fans including Zane Lowe.
The week preceding the release saw TVG outsell Arctic Monkeys and Iron Maiden in pre-order sales resulting in an active year of headlining shows, radio sessions, press interviews and store signings.
