About Me

"They took to the stage in giant sumo suits and proceeded to play electro fuzz stoner pop." - Michelle Dee (www.thisisull.com)TopGun are the unlikely pairing of the former front man of Cory and the Danger Zones - Cory Dillon and formerly of successful Hull band The Paddingtons - Bill Morphine. They met in the States in their teens whilst training as wrestlers, starting a tag team they called TopGun. Here they are in action fighting each other:

They were terrible! Growing up their attention turned to music, they started collecting records their favourite artists being Depeche Mode and Erasure and it was only a matter of time before they was to take their dj’ing skills to the clubs. They achieved great recognition from their irregular nights DJ’ing at The New Adelphi with the big hit ’Charity Shop Disco’ which saved the 2007/08 new year parties for lots of people because at the time, no clubs were putting on dj’s that played the music they played and that we all love. With confidence building they were to then start recording thier own songs which thier fans loved because they felt they could really relate to them. Bill explains, "We write songs about the things that matter to us and the people around us. We have a song about the recent earthquake that struck the UK, one about being addicted to the computer game Championship Manager. We know a few people that lose their lives to that game and the problem needs addressing."At the moment TopGun are recording their album ’Sega Songs’ and DJ’ing at the Welly Club helped along by their manager Martin (http://www.myspace.com/marvpaddington) and their producer Barry.TopGun. Wizards on the decks. Dangerous in the ring.
