"Walden: The Ballad of Thoreau" is an educational performance play about the final two days Henry David Thoreau spent in his cabin before leaving Walden Pond. This past EARTH DAY over 7,200 colleges, schools, home schools and community theaters in nine nations performed the play in celebration of Thoreau, his writings about nature, and our earth.See the trailor for the Public Television special:

The new updated 2009 Walden project is being presented again for Earth Day 2009 in cooperation with E.ON - building the worlds biggest green energy wind farm - the Earth Day Network, American Forests, Mother Earth News, and EarthCARE Canada.
