Malia (name meaning "Calm" in Hawaiian, "Bitter" in Hebrew, and "Queen" in Swahili) was born on March 12th 2007 at 4:48pm after an hour long labor from her mother Taima. As the weeks passed, Malia proved to be a highly energetic calf, and showed independance at quite a young age when she was seen on occasion swimming through the gates on her own. She is the 3rd calf and 1st daughter of her mother Taima, and currently to date the only offspring of Taima of whom she hasn't had to be seperated from, she is also the 17th offspring of her Father Tillikum. She already is seen frequently in Seaworld's shows. She has developed a strong bond with her nephew and older male named Trua, of which is almost inseperable. She can be seen with her Mother Taima, an older female named Takara and her son Trua, and on some more rare occasions with her father Tillikum. More recently however, she has been seen with Kalina.
