CITY UPRISING

City Uprising's motivation: 1. Put on the largest AIDS testing campaign in the history of NYC. 30,000 New Yorkers are HIV positive and have never been tested. New York City is the most densely populated community of HIV victims in the United States. 2. Since NYC is arguably the most influential city in the world: City Uprising is putting on the goodness that is Rock and Roll to raise money for fresh water wells in AIDS stricken countries. 3. Charlie Hall will be leading us in the nightly gatherings of worship, prayer, and rejuvenation. By doing this, City Uprising hopes to display the love of Jesus Christ through service, compassion and worship. It is a movement born out of the Gallery Church of Manhattan to propel the local church and prosper the city. Through an intensive four-day worship and service experience City Uprising hopes to inspire resolute commitment to the local church, raise awareness of the need to reach the world’s major cities with the Gospel through new churches, and build a bridge into the heart of New York City through love and service.JEREMIAH 33:9 - 'It will be to Me a name of joy, praise and glory before all the nations of the earth which will hear of all the good that I do for them, and they will fear and tremble because of all the good and all the peace that I make for it.
