Influences: Mowtown, Old School R&B, Early Hip Hop like NWA, Too $hort, Eric B. and Rakim, KRS-1, I was part of the generation that came up with Yo! MTV Raps. I was that kid who would take my mom's cassette tapes and dub over them with the Saturday night mix party and rappers delight on 93.1 FM WZAK. Just so that every Monday morning I had new music bumpin in the walkman. I used to practice recording by plugging headphones into the mic spot on the boombox and seeing what happened. When Dr. Dre dropped the Chronic, I listened to every detail of his music and consider him to be the most talented producer of my generation. Other great producers are Alchemist(Love Mobb Deep), Just Blaze, Rockwilder, Raekwon, and Warren G.
Sounds Like: I am not tryin to sound like anybody. If I make a beat and it is catchy, I try to tweak it until I am satisfied with it. Some tracks have more of an anthem feel, while other tracks are geared to just spittin on the mic. I love freestylin, used to be good at it, but making music is far more for me than being a rapper. Nothing is more pure in this art form than the traditional battle rap. Would love to hear some of my tracks on a beef album, or opening a movie.
