"This band shows a lot of promise with a sound and style that will develop in time, the band performs with attitude and I'm sure we will hear more of The Seduction Code in time." - dB Magazine.
"Heavy-as-fuck riffing with melody, with straight-up hardcore screams. A band definitely to check out live." - dB Magazine.
Famous author John Shedd once said “When there is an original sound in the world, it makes a hundred echoes.†When negotiating “originality†in terms of music, the notion of inventiveness has almost become a myth, and daring to be different is no longer a wanted attribute.
The Seduction Code, an Adelaide based sextet decided to take upon this bold idea of “being different†with audacity, and with the hope of being able to perform live as much as possible. Formed in the later part of 2006, the band featured two separate vocalists and combined a large array of influences ranging from: Classical, Funk and Jazz to the more recently popular Punk, Metal and Post-Hardcore genres. The formula not only provided audiences with a thought-provoking recipe, but also a “breath of fresh airâ€.
Having shared the stage with both very respected international and national acts from a variety of genres including: Superman Is Dead (Indonesia), The Amity Affliction (QLD), The Open Season (SA), The Valley (NSW / USA), Between The Devil & The Deep (NSW), A Silent Fiction (NSW) & Bellevue (NSW) as well as many others, The Seduction Code have been met with praise to their live show and recordings. This included several nominations for the dBRA awards in 2006 competing against: The Audreys, I Killed the Prom Queen and The Hilltop Hoods.
The debut EP: ‘The Coincidence’ offers four dynamic tracks incorporating everything which the band stands for. Recorded live and in just two days, the EP almost captures exactly what this six-piece bring to the stage: Energy and Diversity. The lead single 'Go Ninja Go' as well as the climactic finisher 'Horror Movies Scare Girls' have already spent well over a month at the top of the Triple J Unearthed Charts in both the Punk and Metal charts. 'Go Ninja Go' also recently featured on Triple J's SHORT FAST LOUD segment. However for them, this is just the beginning.
