After graduating from high school in 1998 I went to Central Michigan University for 3 years. I decided that I needed a change and transferred to Central's biggest rival...Western Michigan University! This was a great change for me, and I couldn't imagine my life now without making that transfer. This is where I met some of my closest friends. I graduated from there in 2003 with a degree in elementary education. I am in my 2nd year of teaching...4th grade this year! I am in the Master's in Literacy Education program at Madonna University, so I'm kept quite busy! I am very close to my family, especially my mom's side where I've got the cutest little cousins...Kara and Kristen were adopted from China and Carter and Chase were born in August. My parents recently built a lot home up north and I enjoy going up there to hang out, go tubing or kneeboarding, read, relax, and just plain have a good time! I am a pretty big hockey fan...the Red Wings are my FAVORITE!!! I'm also a college football fan...Hail to the Victors! I've got an awesome boyfriend, Ryan, who puts up with a lot of stuff from me, especially during the school year! He's the best! Overall I consider myself pretty lucky!
