About The Project
Black Anima is an extreme metal project with a lot of inspiration from bands such as Satyricon, Aura Noir, Dimmu Borgir and Venom but also from bands like Motorhead, Metallica, Black Sabbath and Judas Priest. The lyrical content deals with the darker side of the human mind and the she-demon Black Anima, the mother of Antichrist.The project started spring 2007 and the first four track demo was finished by summer the same year. Badly received but important for future path finding the "Chalice ..." demo was soon forgotten and work started on the four track demo called "Nocturnal Beasts". The second demo was released late 2007 and in mid April 2008 work was completed on a self produced album entitled Dark By Design. At the same time Astaroth (that lent his voice to some of the earlier songs) was made a permanent member of the project.
On september 19 2008 the second full length album "White Noise" was released. Only a very limited number for promotional purposes was printed and distributed. For the reminder of the demand a package was made available online.
