Hi everyone! We are "CRADLE"'s new lineup, born and bred locally in the tiny island called Singapore. We write, compose, play and produce our original stuff. ADDY is the original member from CRADLE which was formed in 1994. The four of us have known one another for a long time. It wasn't until early 2007 that we actually got together professionally and "CRADLE" is born. Each of us has over a decade of experience playing professionally.
**please note - very important!

One of the songs he wrote, sang & produced together with the rest of Tribe members was a big hit on Radio RIA 89.7fm titled (MATA SATU) and was awarded for Best Recorded album in AIM2003 (Anugerah Industry Music Malaysia). He wrote most of the lyrics in the album e.t.c (Mata Satu, Mulut, Topeng, Sembarang and Tuhan Tolonglah).
MAN TOYAK was named one of the best 10 Top Singers in Singapore by Berita Harian the year 2005. He was selected to be the main Cast for the theatre act @ The Esplanade organised by IMG Promotion in 2006 in a play called ROCK OPERA with a hit single song entitle SATRIA on Radio RIA 89.7fm & Warna 94.2fm. He was nominated for Best Singapore Male Artist & Best Songs SATRIA for APM'07. He was a supporting actor in DIAN episode 8. Performing as the main cast with Perkumpulan Seni in Musical and Dance Theatre entitle Gejolak.
He is also a well-known artiste with Suria Channel and he is often invited to perform for variety and charity shows.
ADDY RASIDI aka ADDY CRADLE started playing guitar at the young age of 10. Within 2 years, he did his first guitar performance in school. In 1985, he got his very first electric guitar which was the Ibanez Roadstar. His interest in playing the guitar got more serious at the age of 14, where he played at Malay weddings.
ADDY got his first recording break at the age of 16 with a Malaysian band, Teacher's Pet (Warner Music). And like all Singapore born males, he had to join the army. Not surprisingly, he was with the army band. ADDY has been a studio guitar sessionist since 1994. After army, he joined CRADLE (EMI), a local band. They recorded an album which sold a few thousand copies. The 2 songs he wrote, sang, played and produced, were big hits.
ADDY with 6 other famous guitarists in this region like Man Keedal, Kyoji Yamamoto, Hillary Ang, Michael Thompson, Sharul, and Samad were invited to record an album Mentera Metal. He contributed 2 songs which he wrote and performed.
ADDY released his first solo album, RAHSIA which means "Secret" in Malay, in 2003 which he wrote, sang, played and produced. That album won him an award for Best New Artiste at the Annugerah Planet Musik 2004 awards. In 2006, he received the Compass Award for Top Local Malay Song, Mengapa Berdusta which means "Why Lie" in Malay, from his album, RAHSIA.
He started playing in the club scene from 1997 with local singer, Wendi Koh.
In 1999, he joined John Molina (Krueger).
In 2001, he was offered to join the legendary local band, Jive Talking.
In 2003, he was offered to join Douglas Oliveiro and the band 9lives.
In 2005, Jive Talking and ADDY were fated to work together once again. To date, he is still playing with them.
People who inspire ADDY include Steve Vai, Search, Wings, Rusty Blade, John Mayer, Aerosmith, Matchbox Twenty, Sarah McLachlan, Jeff Beck, Guthrie Govan, Richie Kotzen, Akira Takasaki.
FAZLI started learning the drums at 13, through secondary school military band. He got hooked immediately. His hobbies include listening to music, watching many sorts of documentaries & movies. His biggest aspiration is being sincere in his craft….
FAIZAL started playing the bass at the age of 12. At the age of 14, he got his first Yamaha bass. He was a member of a famous band which performed regularly at wedding parties. The band comprises of his senior family members. A year later, together with his band, Drifter, they entered a band competition in Sentosa and got through to the finals. He was then 15.
Sadly, he found himself drifting away, so he swapped his bass tones and began to sweep his fingers on 6 string guitar. RATTLE, the band with a vigor vocal from MAN TOYAK (his brother) finally made through as a Champ at 'JCC 1992 Battle of the Band'. After 4 years with them, his journey ended when the 'government' needed him 'desperately' to join the FORCE (thank God it was only 2 years).
The underground music scene had influenced him since then and he loves listening to industrial, indie and stoner rock music (different genre). Then his fingers got him back to where he begun. He formed a stoner rock band where he was a bass player and a vocalist for the band.
Finally in 2007, CRADLE became a complete band when FAIZAL was offered to be part of CRADLE as bass player/vocals, together with MAN TOYAK on lead vocals/rhythm guitar, ADDY on lead guitar/vocals & FAZLI on drums.
