About Me

Welcome... Here's a bit about me and my goals for my myspace area:

Music

First off, I am a musician myself, and have been for many decades. I play guitar mostly, but I also play keyboards, drums, anything with strings, percussion, and have been known, on a rare occasion, to sing. I have been playing music all of my life, and it has been a long strange trip indeed. But I don't just play it, I also listen to it, passionately. I think though, the thing I love the most is turning people on to great music they have not heard.

Genres?

I like most everything; from Grunge to Metal, New Age to Folk, Mountain, Celtic, World (both traditional and neo), Trance, Electronica, Blues, Ambient, Fusion, Shoegazer, Experimental, Goth, Garage, Industrial, Jazz, Psychedelic, Progressive, Classic Rock, Techno, etc.. There's not much I don't like and/or appreciate.

Naturally I enjoy many established artists, but much of my favorite music comes from the world full of Indies out there. I will try to list many of them in my Friends area, both established and Indie. That's the cool thing about myspace, it's a great place to turn people on to things.

Art

I am very in to art, especially 3D art and animation, both viewing others' work and creating mine. I will be adding some links around here to some great work by great 3D artists and animators.

Photography is another area of art (yes, photography is an art) that I enjoy. Again, both as viewer and creator.

Yoga

I enjoy Yoga, and hope to delve deeper and deeper into it as I go along my path in life. Ashtanga Yoga has impressed me most of all. And I hope to be able to do some links to sites and videos here that have impressed me.

Seeking:

Joseph Campbell... what can I say. He is my first answer if the question is "If you could spend an evening talking with anybody you wanted, who would it be?" Others would be Carl Jung, Nikola Tesla, Kevin Costner, and a few others... Hopefully I will be linking to some resources relating to these folks.

Travel

I love travel, and have a few million ground miles under my belt here in the U.S., and hope to soon see some more of the world. I want to bicycle the Black Forest of Germany, the rolling hills of Italy, walk The Steppes and many areas of Far East, the British Isles, kayak the rivers of Europe and the Far East and South America, and so much more. My travels have been many in my life, but the best is yet to come.

Movies

Favorite movie at the moment; ONCE... what a wonderful piece of work.

So, listen to my music if you fancy it, and be sure to check out some of my favorites (or should I say “friends”) here at my myspace. And as always, enjoy!
