The INSIDE, a band formed in early 1992 with musicians who have played in and around the Texarkana area for several years with many more to come. Playing a large variety of originals along with several southern rock cover tunes. We love to write our own music and perform live anywhere and anytime.The band consists of three members:BARRY JOHNSON: The Lead Vocalist and Bass Guitar player is originally from Atlanta, TX. He writes most of the bands original songs and still has an untapped supply of lyrics that are just waiting to be put to good use. He also loves to play acoustic guitar sessions.
He is truly one talented guy with a lot to give to the music world. Influences include: The Beatles, Tom Petty.KENNETH LEE BATTLES: The Lead and Rhythm Guitar player is originally from Tyler, TX. Along with guitar he performs lead and back-up vocals and has been known to write some of the originals as well, Red Wind. He plays straight from his heart and soul and you can feel every note thru every fiber of your being. His fingers move so fast across those frets it’ll leave you hot and begging for more. Influences include: Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jimi Hendrix, and Pantera.CHRIS WILGUS: The Drummer and back-up vocalist is originally from Corpus Christi, TX
Musical talent seems to run in his blood and family. He is a very energetic drummer that keeps his crowd pumped up and ready for more. When you hear his solos you would think he’s playing with a double pedal, but his feet are just going that fast. Influences include: John Bonham, Tommie Lee.
