Dark Horse Pictures, LLC, seeks to develop and produce innovative, first-rate professional pictures and quality entertainment. We look to involve a core group of filmmakers who are physically, emotionally and intellectually able to present a collaborative effort to deliver captivating films with an emotional impact. Dark Horse Pictures, LLC will be mindful of the standards of its audiences and focus on independent films that appeal to global teen, young adult and family audiences.
We believe it is the responsibility of every filmmaker to make the world a better place through film. We are dedicated to the beauty of creation through artistic endeavor and the unveiling of everyday miracles that serve to touch and enlighten the human spirit. With this artistic vision, our goal is to manifest the dreams of filmmakers, actors, and authors. We are a new and important voice in independent entertainment.
BERNADETTE F. DUGAS
Bernadette is the Executive Producer on The Dedd Brothers which has just completed filming. She has been involved in various aspects of television, theatre and film. After receiving her masters degree in Speech and Theatre, she ventured out into the film industry in Hollywood where she worked in post production on films in the area of Foley and sound editing, including "Some Kind of Hero" and "One From the Heart". She assisted with local casting in "Fletch Lives", "Margaret Bourke-White" and "A Gathering of Old Men" by Academy Award Winning director Volker Schlondorff. Bernadette played the mother in "Body Moves", directed by Aristide Massaccissi. She co-hosted the live talk show "Mississippi Morning" for a CBS Affiliate, and acted in several commercials and one episode of "Unsolved Mysteries". In theatre, she designed and built costumes for more than fifty productions.
Bernadette owns Mermaid's Masquerade Costume Sales & Rentals and is the co-founder of South Louisiana Casting & Production Company with Lorna Farrar, a very successful theatrical production company. The company now produces several shows and music concerts a year which she co-produces, creates and directs. She is co-author of "SCARLET CREEK"
Whether television, theatre or film, Bernadette has always been involved in the world of magic and dreams.
DUSTIN SCHUETTER
Dustin has just completed filming The Dedd Brothers which he wrote, directed and produced. He is a rising star in the film industry, recently appearing on ABC Family's "Greek." Dustin has a very natural acting quality that many struggle to find, and is considered to be an up-and-coming talent as both an actor and writer. He has worked with Emmy-nominated Director Gil Junger, who directed the film "10 Things I Hate About You," as well as TV series "Kyle XY," "Ellen" and "Greek." He has also worked along-side Oscar-Nominated and award-winning actress Sally Kirkland. Dustin has worked steadily since his arrival in Hollywood, appearing in seven films and three pilots (mostly leads). Dustin is also co-producer and co-author of "SCARLET CREEK."
