Matthew Kavanaugh is a native of Staunton, Virginia. He has a B.A in History and Classical Studies from Randolph-Macon College and a Master of Architecture from the College of Design at N.C. State University. Matthew's diverse background includes several years as a costumed historical interpreter at the Museum of American Frontier Culture where he worked on the English Farm, much experience in drama, years of professional cooking, as well as contruction and teaching. Matthew lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he works at VMDO, an architecture firm committed to sustainable design with an emphasis on educational and institutional architecture. Interests include music, art, design and community involvement.
