About Me

My name is Grant. I'm a high school social studies teacher and basketball coach. I know that in education those two occupations tend to go together, but I only coach for the pure enjoyment of being around motivated athletes who want to become better basketball players. My real passion is teaching. I'm currently going back to UCF for my master's degree in social science education. I hope to earn it by sometime in 2008. My ***amazing*** FIANCE and I have moved into our new house (as of December 06). We are loving it and life is great! We have two crazy ass dogs now too - a pom. named Teddy and a dachsund named Jay-Jay. There are pics of them on my profile!

My Interests

reading, bowling, bike-riding on occasion, jogging, working out, bbq-ing, watching college basketball (especially in March), playing with Tara's pets, PLAYING WITH OUR PETS,eating (obviously), going to the movies, walking the muts around the lake, having the summer off, etc.

Music:

Just about anything. When I'm in my truck alone, I prefer the radio. If others are in the truck with me I prefer no radio! no Ipod! no CD player! Good or bad conversation is better than music.

Movies:

The Big Lebowski, Redneck Zombies, Shaun of the Dead, Every Which Way but Loose, Over the Top, The Last Boyscout, Snatch, Demon Knight, and eventually the Tenacious D movie that HAS come out, yet I have not seen since everyone said it sucked!

Television:

Desperate Housewives (seriously) and college basketball. This past season we got hooked on The Next Best Thing. I don't really watch anything else.

Books:

I don't really read fiction. I enjoy reading history, social sciences, education etc. etc. I'm currently reading more damn books than I can keep up with...gotta love grad. school.
