About Me
Born Kevin Campbell, of Bed-Stuy Brooklyn, New York, on March 8, 1987, creatively established the name Nov Ganon around 1999. Growing up in the heart of Brooklyn, he was always into basketball, astrology, and definitely music. While playing basketball most of his friends used to call him (Nov), because of the interest in astrology, he later added (Ganon) because of his monstrous character he has as he delivers every rhyme. Together it is Nov Ganon. Although he was equally gifted in both of his talents, in Junior High School is when he decided that he would pursue his love for music more so than basketball.
Nov Ganon is a genuine, understanding, strong-willed hospitable, tactful, self-reliant, loyal, outgoing, versatile young man. This young 21 year old hip hop musician is inspired by artists such as: Duke Ellington, Beethoven, Jimmy hendrix and the Lox. He enjoys the sounds of classical music, and the tunes of vintage video games (Super Mario). One of his most repeated sayings is: “I’m an 80’s baby, but I can tell you what the 90’s like!†He states this over and over to differentiate himself from all the other musicians before him.
He creates music for the people, not just for money. When he delivers his lyrics, he wants all age groups of people to be able to relate to them in some way. He does not consider himself to be much of a punch line rapper, however he is definitely not you typical rapper. “I say what I feel, and feel what I say!†Nov Ganon feels that Hip Hop is disintegrating, and people don’t support their local artist, so he plans to recreate the intactness for the future of Hip Hop. There is only a couple of things that he scorns in the music industry of today, for example: slackers, people who steal music, and people who always have something to say, but never nothing to bring to the table, or furthermore to show for it.
In his spare time, when he’s not trying to develop a new song, or being a “studio bumâ€, you can find him reading magazines, checking out new sneakers and the latest fashion. Nov Ganon is definitely into Fashion. Fashion is second to his music, but the two go hand in hand with each other, when it comes to him. He is a huge fan of vandals, dunks, blazers, y-3’s, and any sneaker that’s different and cool. Clothing: Flannels, creative vintage tees, hard denims. “A ‘lil bit of everythingâ€
Although he is up and coming, he will be the future of Hip Hop and he states: “I don’t want to bring Hip Hop back, I want to move it forward!â€
