Duoplex

The music of Duoplex can be described in two words: "complex duo". The formations' repertoire consists of self-created compositions and improvisations on two very common instruments wich are uncommonly used in a very indiviudual way. One of the two players prepares his Wagner tube with all kinds of tubes, hoses and funnels and produces sounds that were never believed they could even exist. With the tubes he can create a quatrophonic sound in the room. Additionally he plays alphorn, posthorn, fire brigade horn, natural horn... The other one is playing his drumset with every thinkable material but the drumsticks, e.g. brooms, bamboo canes, brushes, plastic tubes, knitting needles, rattles, bells... Furthmore they speak, sing, cough and whisper into their instruments and thereby create a sound that tells a lot.
