So Long Sisters was formed in 2005. All members are from Karijoki, which is a really small town in western Finland. The youngest member is now 17 and the eldest 20. There used to be six girls in SLS but in fall 2009 keyboardist Hannele decided to leave the band.
First the band was called Flame, but then we decided to change the name. So Long Sisters is a song from a finnish band called Disco Ensemble, which we love. We thought that it sounds nice and the name also describes us quite well; drummer Noora and guitarist Niina are sisters, and so are singer Janica and bassist Sofia. Our music is a mix of rock, punk and pop. Paramore, Rise Against, Disco Ensemble, The Sounds and My Chemical Romance are some of our musical influences.
Now that we have played together 5 years, we have done dozens of gigs and a few demos. We have also recorded one song in Sweden, Halmstad. Lately we have been recording new songs, so soon there will be some new stuff also here in Myspace. We really love being on the stage and we always try to put on a great, energetic show!
