This is strictly a fan page. I only know of them when I went to Denver with my father on a business trip when I was 15 and went to a local record store and found this cool ass LP that said "Legion of Death" and it was local so I picked it up. Back then I would always be on the lookout of cool local stuff and I certainly found it. I immediately wrote them when I got back and told them how much I dug their music. To my surprise, the singer John wrote me back and I was thrilled! This is the first time someone in a band had personally written a letter to me. We wrote back and forth, exchanged some tapes and he sold me some merch and I told all of my friends at school about these guys. Sure enough, they all started listening to them, too and so Legion of Death had a small following in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The following year I went back and John came to where I was staying and picked me up in this old ass '85 or '86 Chevette that was jacked up in the back, lol, and took me to practice to meet the Legion dudes. They were all super cool and they let me pick the songs for the next hour, hung out for a bit and was checkin out Andy's girlfriend cuz she was hot little metal chick and then went over to John's because they had just played the night before and I missed cuz my dad couldn't change plans just for me to see a show. He copied the show for me and I recently got a program to clean and somewhat rehab the recording and put it on disc. I have that, another live recording they did at the Annex, their first 2 demos "Have a Nice Death" and "Unconstructive Anarscism" on a copied tape, their LP and last demo "LOD" which was 4 songs recorded, mixed, mastered and sounds totally clean and professional. Shortly after that they disbanded. They started back in '85 when thrash metal was emerging and totally kicking everyone's ass. When their LP came out they were halfway to making it. They were already being distributed by IMPORTant records but they never managed to get an actual record deal. I always thought they would have. They had a lot of stuff written that would have been on an album later on down the road because a live tape that I was given I mentioned before was played at the Roller City North 7/18/89 and almost half of the songs I have never heard before! So yeah, any Legion of Death fans remaining or even members out there, you can reach me on my myspace page at www.myspace.com/rybaman. I would love to hear from ya! Till this day, My friend Ryan and I still do a little sing-a-long of the the old classic "I Fucked Yer Mom." Take it easy. Metal Forever.
