Welcome to Captain Tom's, Aberdeen's finest rehearsal and recording complex. It is your home for all things musical in the North East of Scotland.
Captain Tom's was set up in 1997 and spent several years operating from three rooms in a basement in Dee Street. Despite the cramped conditons, the concept and whole Captain Tom style proved popular with local bands and on 17th January 2000 the outfit moved to its current premise in Ann Street.
In Ann Street there are 4 rehearsal rooms, a modern recording studio, rooms for drum and guitar lessons, and lots more :)
Rehearsal Rooms
We have four acoustically treated, soundproofed, purpose built rehearsal rooms. All fully equiped with a PA system, drum kit, guitar amps and a bass amp.
Recording
Our purpose built digital recording studio provides affordable recording services for just about anything that makes a noise.
Tuition
We provide tuition on the drums and guitar (bass, electric & acoustic). Plus we also provide vocal coaching. All tuition is one to one, with qualified tutors who boast a wealth of performance experience between them.
Equipment Hire
We stock a range of backline equipment for hire including guitar and bass amps, combos, keyboards, drums and percussion.
Fat Hippy Records
We also run an independent record label called fat hippy records out of the studio. Check out their latest releases.
