What is the Ashan Project?
A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, was an ancient, still evolving civilisation. This was the civilisation of Ashan. Their role in the universe was to master the potential of creativity, art and music. They have since evolved into a higher force and now govern the fundamentals behind creativity, art and music.
This earth is living in critical times and there are systems in place to stop our intelligent lives from reaching our full potential. The only real free parts of our mind we have left is the mind state behind creativity, art and music, and it’s through this that we can make a real difference!
We are here on behalf of the Ashan civilisation to try and raise awareness of the present earth state, and to try to make a difference to the way people think for a positive outcome.
Using specific rhythms, frequencies, imagery, sound and light, combined with the power of creativity, art and music, we aim to access and code subconscious parts of the mind, to bring us all together in a collective mind state for the benefits of peace love and light!
Who are The Ashan Project?
ASHER ASHAN... Co - founder of the solar parties, as well as being established as a solo artist. With 9 years djing experience, has played to crowds all over the UK for clubs, collectives and festivals, as well as countless outdoor parties across Lancashire, Cumbria and Scotland. To name a just a few: Rhythm Method, Proper Records, Acme Bass, Tangled, Sourpuss, Cheeky Business, 6degrees vs. Microphonic, K-os social club, Mentalist, Raise the Roof, club Rasputin, Bedlam Boudoir, riff raff, The Big Green, Knocken Gorrah, Palgowen, beatherder, shamania, solfest and loads more. Has also played on ibreaks internet radio and has hosted two separate radio shows on Diversity 107fm. With a deep technical intelligent mixing style, specialising in cutting edge psytrance, prog, techy electro, chunky tough house, techno, psy dub and alternative breaks, has become a Lancaster favourite and always makes the dance floor move with his energetic performances. A spiritual alien nutter with a big cheesy, cheeky grin.
DARYL ASHAN... Also plays under the alias Mr bit and is a resident dj for k-os social club. Has 4/5 years dj experience but has been well into music from the age of 13, playing in numerous bands as a competent drummer and bass player. Coming from a Goth, rock, metal background he has cleverly brought his past influences subtly into today's electronic music as well as having a keen ear for new interesting sounds and textures to add to performances. When playing solo, Mr Bit delves into the world of minimal house and techno with uplifting hypnotic squeaks and bleeps, as well as enjoying breaks, prog and psy. His mixing is tight and is fast becoming a very technical dj. Has played for K-os as resident for the last year or so, as well as playing for Cheeky Business, Solar, riff raff, shamania, solfest and at outdoor parties in Lancashire and Gallashields, Scotland and claiming more and more gigs with the Ashan Project. When performing, he always maintains good interaction with the crowd with his often colourful hippy cyber Goth appearance, whilst noticeably enjoying what he's doing.
JASON THRELFALL... AKA: Infected spleen. The complete computer genius, proper cyberspace case and visionary digital artist. Has played an important role in the evolution of solar, being the resident graphic designer and VJ, producing flyers and imagery that are complete works of art. Specialising in 2d/3d digital animation, his work is vibrant, eye catching and unique. Self taught from the age of 12, where he was then writing his own programs, has since developed his skills to a level that is mind blowing. Known for doing ridiculously long visual sets that are mesmerizing and hypnotic, and being able to make any video content extremely pleasing to the eye, whilst also maintaining a certain degree of intelligent humour. His experience has in the past seen him play at events across the northwest including clubs and collectives such as Tangled, Acme Bass, Proper Records, Sourpuss, Industry and more, making his visuals the backdrop to many well known dance music artists. He is now concentrating his efforts into producing visuals and art specifically for the Ashan Project, incorporating sacred geometry, hyper maths, fractals, world issues and thought provoking subliminal imagery designed to have a positive impact on the psyche, whilst staying vibrant, fun and totally complementary to the music provided by the other two group members. On stage he's the chilled one of the three, but blatantly tuned in and well in the zone, providing the main focal point of the show.
