It's taken me awhile to update my page.
Two years ago, I made the plunge from graphic designer to teacher! It's been a big change in my life, but for the better. I teach graphic design at a local college and have gotten to know a lot of wonderful people, i.e., my students. I am about to 'lose' my very first class as they are about to graduate. They have been with me through this roller coaster of learning to teach and I am going to miss them. If any of you read this, please stay in touch. I wish you the best and the most success in life!!
I have been married to the same wonderful, handsome man for almost 27 years and, God willing, hope for at least 27 more. We live out in the country with our horses and animals. I absolutely LOVE music, it is just a part of me. I listen to just about everything.......

Here are some of my students (and me)! We went to the zoo to do character research for designing children's book covers. We also, went to The Mustard Seed and interacted with the residents and spent the afternoon with them.
I am also an Equine (horse) illustrator, and I illustrated an actual REAL book! Really proud of it as I got to put in all of my own horses and set up all the subject material. It is called ’Why Horses Do That’ and discusses 40 different horse behaviors, all of which I illustrated. Yay!
It's been a few years now, but Dustin released a CD of his own music. He is an awesome guitar player and plays acoustic based blues - really tears it up. Check out his ‘my space’. He’s been playing guitar with his daddy around town since he was 14 and really knows his stuff. At 16, he was honored to play onstage with Jeff Healey (Angel Eyes / Roadhouse) and at 18, he and his father ‘opened’ for B.B. King in B.B.’s hometown of Ittabena, MS, with a standing ovation to a full-house! myspace.com/dustinmessina
