My name is Absurd, I am an in-house producer for Joint Logistics as well as musical director for 21ST CENTURY HIPHOP, the collective behind "the Shortbus Initiative" album released in March 2008. I've been playing guitar since '89 and programming drums since '99. I played in heavy metal bands, punk bands, blues bands, nothing too significant but it gave me musical experience. Nowadays I license beats to hip-hop artists, previous and current clients include Braids, Blacc Rage, Lomai, MicSlingers, Aztec Dinero, Heck Heinous, Sarcastik, Bishop Dash, Prince of Thieves, M.O., Sam Ortega, Foul Intalekt, Foxx, K-Mind and Joint Logistics, Spare Lungz, Stirling, Street King, etc. I do make money from this shit but that is not my motivation, my goal is to bring diversity BACK to the culture, however if you're making money off my beat I am too, and if you're recording on my shit without my implicit consent motherfucker you best get legal representation, you'll wish you would've done the right thing and gave me whatever i asked for. having said that, if you need a beat its whatever you wanna do, I can collab with anyone who has a vision and isn't a diva. I'd rather custom-make a track for you than record you on someone else's track but it don't make no difference to me if we can build together........
