Mr. Holloway, a native of Atlanta, GA began rapping at the age of 12. As a member of the group JCB with two childhood friends, Mr. Holloway decided to branch out as a solo artist when his former manager attempted to pattern the group after current acts at the time such as Kris Kross, and Another Bad Creation. Relocating to Ft. Valley, GA at age 15, Mr. Holloway continued to work on his craft, however being located in middle Georgia, the hip hop scene was non existant. At age 17, Mr. Holloway caught the attention of local radio personality Tony Smoove on 97.9 WIBB and eventually provided intro raps throughout the Tony Smoove Show. When Tony Smoove noticed Mr. Holloways talent he placed him on Tony Smooves Air Check Vol. 1 which also sparked the careers or rappers Bubba Sparkxxx and Sonny Spoon. Soon Mr. Holloway would leave middle Georgia and return to Atlanta, to attend Morris Brown College.
While attending Morris Brown College, Mr. Holloway placed rap to the back burner, in order to obtain a degree. He would keep his skills fresh by making tapes for friends just for fun and the love of hip-hop. While enrolled in graduate school, with a computer purchased with what he calls refund check money, Mr. Holloway began to record songs just for personal enjoyment, which were never intended to reach the public. In the summer of 2003, Mr. Holloway accidentally gave a CD full of his songs to a relative who heard the songs and immediately insisted that he complete a mix tape and pass it out it to the public to garner a response. Later, that summer What The Hell? Enterprises, LLC. was formed and the Now or Never series began.
Mr. Holloway’s style is very distinct and varies different from most southern hip hop artists. Now why would someone with two masters degrees turn towards hip-hop, easy because Mr. Holloway is the future.
