About Me

...well...jen and i are still here in the middle of the desert...the heat is finally starting to calm down as we drift into my favorite season...everything has been locked into a steadfast routine for a while...i think we're ready for the autumn...

My Interests

...music, mostly...

I'd like to meet:

...you...

Music:

...that's a tough one...rock and roll, etc?...

okay, how about this:

NEW STUFF

i haven't really been taking in anything new lately. I'm still a fan of the raconteurs. the newest nada surf sounds really good on vinyl. gorillaz are still up there. oh, yeah, i checked out the new jurassic 5 and that sounded really good. they don't mess around. tom petty's new single is really rockin', but i haven't heard the album yet.

OLD STUFF

anything matador records ever put out is okay by me (esp. chavez, yo la tengo, pavement) , pearl jam was the favorite for a long time, deftones, rage against the machine, maybe i'm just homesick, but i've been doing a lot of local h lately, smashing pumpkins, all that good music from the nineties still sits well.

JAM BANDS

i was big into the jam bands for a while. it's hard to go to shows out here, so i've lost touch. however, umphreys mcgee were the big one, and string cheese incident. zilla (michael travis' side project) are still a must see. i'd see them anytime. i also miss the big wu, the slip, particle, disco biscuts, and yes, phish.

DEEP DOWN FAVORITES

talking heads, p-funk, grateful dead, simon and garfunkel, mmw, david axelrod, bill frisell, gil evans, traffic, the band, if you know me, you know the weirdo music that i truly enjoy!

and don't forget about my current involvements with the heavenly minstrels and ricky and the dot dot dots (both of whom have myspace's that you should check out.)
