SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Schwarzach is a Band from Bielefeld/Hannover (Germany), formed in 2007 by Schwarzensee(Guitars/Programming/Synth), Schwarzmaler (Vocals) and Schwarzmarktschreier (Bass). The first EP „Fallen World“ and the Download-Single „Verbrannte Erde“ were unexpectedly successfull.
A T-Shirt edition (limited to 30 copies) was sold out in just a month. In 2008 Schwarzach entered the „Raphaus/Harlemcity-Studios“ in Bielefeld to produce the first fulllength Album „Ueberlebender“. Their new producer Pain became the fourth Member of the Band (Synth/Programming).
Now „Ueberlebender“ is completed (eight tracks / 40 min.)
MUSIC
The sound of Schwarzach is a mixture of Black, Thrash and Death Metal with some Industrial/EBM elements.
The lyrics deal with apocalyptic imaginations – strongly influenced by dystopic literature (especially J.G. Ballard). Music and Lyrics together shall generate the picture of a ruined world, were society is collapsed and the last survivors of an unknown disaster falling back into primitive attitudes.

Die 2 Songs des Promo-Demos gibt es derzeit nur über die MySpace-site der Band zu belauschen oder downzuloaden (schönes Wort!). Das ist allen Black/ Death-Fans zu empfehlen, die auch mit einem Industrial-Touch gut können.
Genau einen solchen Mix zockt die noch nicht mal ein Jahr existierende Combo. NAGLFAR könnte grob mal als Anhaltspunkt dienen, gerade beim ersten Track "Forces of Fire". Neben Gehacke und coolen Black Metal-, wie auch Death Metal- Vokills von Schwarzmaler gibt es halt auch ein paar nette elektronische Spielereien (das Ende hat schon fast Soundtrackmäßiges...). Dass hier ein Drumcomputer am Start ist, fällt vor allem beim zweiten Track "Ten Thousand Megatons" auf, aber gar nicht mal negativ. Die hassigen Vokills erinnern hier schwer an EISREGEN, die Death Metal-Parts eher an HYPO-Peter mit viel hinterlegtem Hall. Sehr fix runtergerattert das Dingen. Auch die Industrial-Einschübe passen.
SCHWARZACH sollten alle open-minded Blackies im Auge behalten! Mit "Verbrannte Erde" gibt es auf der myspace-site noch einen neuen reinen Downloadtrack, der auch wieder ein wenig an EISREGEN erinnert. Zum Glück ist man wesentlich interessanter und versierter als die Thüringer.

"Description of a doomed world" that is what "Schwarzach" telling the community about their music. So let us say "Thank you" that the world in Lower Saxony is so doomed. The 2-Track-Ep + 1 Bonussong you can download on their myspace is really the best stuff i heard in the last time. Oldschool BlackMetal-Songs meets electronical parts. That isnt new but the songs sounded like "Schwarzach" and no one else. "Schwarzach" is not the copy of an existing or forgotten band, their are innovative musicians.
The production is clean and this is in this style of music not the standard. Bands with bigger resources produced records with a trashy sound and called it "underground". The guys of "Schwarzach" dont need "effects" like this, their songs give their own statement. Rough but no lofi-sounds - between the shred-guitar-sounds you can hear varied synthesizer sounds and samples. That seem to be not "true"? I think it must be allowed to go this way. The using of drumcomputers isnt new, the Black-Metal-hereos of "Immortal" done it years before.
We will discuss their work. I heard the songs many times and was never bored. The first song "Verbrannte Erde" (German for "Burned earth") is presented by fast guitars lines and beautifull harmonies. When i must find i an analogy i think the name of "Eisregen" isnt a shame for this 3 guys! Especially the voice of "Schwarzmaler" allowed this. By the way this song is my favourite of "Schwarzach" at the moment. Seven minutes perfect arrange music with a great outro.
"Ten Thousand Megatons" start with the catchy refrainline, after a moshattack you hear the first verse with the lovley voice of the singer "Schwarzmaler". The bridge between the second verse and the refrain is leaded by a voice like the emperor (the star wars is greeting). The using of feedbacks in this song verify the skills of these musicians. The appregiatorline on the end of the song fits perfect.
Last but not least the song "Forces of fire" - a wall of sound. Hammering drumsounds - flogging guitars. In the middlepart a great guitarline. The songs ends with a nice programmed soundtrack. Thanks for this happpening.
