This Myspace page is dedicated to the life and legacy of pro wrestler Owen Hart. This Myspace was made to help support The Owen Hart Petition to get him inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The petition was started by me, Monica Hill from Kansas City, Missouri. I was and still am an Owen Hart fan. Owen was not like all the other superstars for a lot of reasons. He had a sense of pride in everything he did. He was a master of the ring. He had the moves of a cruiserweight and the skills of a skilled amateur wrestler. Although Owen loved his fans and enjoyed being out in the ring, Owen wanted a normal life. He wanted to be a teacher. The lifestyle and travel of a professional wrestler wasn’t what he wanted for his self. It wasn’t what he wanted for his family. His loving wife, Martha and his two beautiful children Oje & Athena. Owen was the youngest of 12 brothers & sisters fathered by the legendary Stu Hart and his wife, Helen. Owen grew up in the business that took his life. On May 23, 1999 in my hometown of Kansas City, MO, Owen fell to his death after a stunt during a WWE (then WWF) Pay-Per-View called Over the Edge. Ever since that tragic day, my life has never been the same. Owen’s death sent shockwaves all around the world. Many friends, family, and fans attended Owen’s funeral on May 31, 1999. Over the years, many people have wondered how was the WWE going to honor their fallin’ Superstar. Then in 2004, the WWE brought back the inductions of the WWE Hall of Fame. Over the past 4 years since the WWE brought back the WWE Hall of Fame, Owen has yet to be honored. His brother, Bret “The Hitman†Hart was inducted on April 1, 2006 and all of Owen’s fans anticipated a future induction for Owen, yet in 2007 he was overlooked yet again. Not that myself or any of the rest of Owen’s fans believe that those who have been inducted doesn’t deserve their induction, but it’s time for Owen’s name to shine in the spotlight. As fans & supporters of Owen’s legacy he left not only in the wrestling world, but also in the many charities he supported, we should not allow our fallin’ hero’s death to be in vain. This site is to help support and raise awareness to the Owen Hart Petition to get him inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. This is our way of letting the WWE and the rest of the world know that enough is enough and it’s time for a change. It’s time to honor & inducted Owen James Hart into the WWE Hall of Fame.
