I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am enjoying my life at the moment, life for me has been good so far despite uncertainty in my job at jaguar. I have a great wife and parents who are encouraging and supportive. I think that life is short and I have had some good ups and some bad downs. I Try to look for good and opportunity in bad circumstances and I like to think of myself as an optimist. I don't hold grudges against anyone but having said that, I have made mistakes that I have payed for, and at times I have not been a nice person. You have to move on and try to forgive and forget and hope others who you hurt or upset can do the same. Sarah is my rock, she loves and looks after me and I can only hope that I return likewise to her.I enjoy my job or at least the social life that comes with it. I love traveling to new places and exploring them, I try to make time for everyone and I consider everyone equal.I don't look down on anybody or the job they do. Life has taught me that fate has a destiny for us all, and everyone is important.I first got into music after I left school in 1997 and became an apprentice electrician finishing the apprenticeship 2001. During my apprenticeship I became friends with a guy I was doing my day-release with, through him I made contact with my first band. I had always wanted to be a sound engineer when I was at school but the school's music dept was not great and my career advisor told me that the best start would be to get a technical qualification. I achieved this as part of my apprenticeship, but meeting the band and begining to work with them was my first break. The night I met them there was a power failure and nearly a fire, they had left one of those long extension cord on the drum causing it to over heat, melt together and short out blowing the circuit breakers. Due to being a 'spark' I got the power back on and re-routed the wiring explaining why the power had failed. They were impressed and asked me to the next gig. This was in a marquee with power coming from a generator. Again the power failed because the generator ran out of gas. After getting more fuel I was again able to use my knowledge of the equipment to restart it correctly, I have not looked back since. My personality is more from my upbringing in a close family with my dad serving in the Royal Navy until I was 15 which made us a closer family. I know how to choose my freinds through bitter experience of both snakes who stab you in the back and lie, and of shallow ass holes who are full of prejudice.I don't enter discussional argument without the facts.Get The Facts Right.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

My hobby is as a sound engineer, I am a regular engineer with a couple of bands and a promotion company, and have worked one off with various others. I have extensive experience traveling with a touring PA rig and also working in different venues with in house PA. I have worked at the 'Jug of Ale', 'Market Tavern' and 'Bar Fly' in birmingham and worked for a band with regular gigs for drivers and season parties for touring cars, superbikes and F1 events. I own a small rig for use in pub environments and smaller rooms, and I'm building a larger rig of about 3kW for use in larger rooms upto social club / hotel halls and marquees.I try to stay cool and work out problems practicaly by thinking about them, getting my facts right, and not just panicking or being reactionary. As well as friends I would like to meet bands / people who want a sound engineer for one off or regular work. I have experience and work with all genres. I will approve most friend requests, but I would be grateful if you also send me a message to let me know how you found my page. Thanx and see you soon.
