About Me

Hello all! My first book, written with my mom, is now out! Homicide at Blue Heron Lake is the first of our 3 book series set in a tiny, fictional lake town in the Maine woods. Homicide at Blue Heron Lake is part of a book club, so is not available in stores. In about six months it should be available to buy online either on Amazon or the Heartsong Web Site. If you would like a copy now, and especially if you would like an autographed copy, please let me know. To buy a book directly from me: Within the US, the book is $6, plus $2 shipping. For those in the UK, I will take 3 pounds for the book, and I'll let you know shipping after I have sent one to JM. Thanks! Megan

Call off your dog

Today I hit the road--the paved road--again. No more meandering in the woods for me until things dry up a bit. (The Maine woods is the world's largest sponge between April and June.) I asked my kid s...

A Ramble ("There's a double meaning in that!" --Bennedict, Much Ado About Nothing)

I've always had a fear of the unknown. More specifically, I battle with a fear of unfamiliar surroundings, which totally goes against my sense of curiosity, which as you can imagine causes war among t...

Done or Not-Done

Later on, the Wart discovered that there were only two qualifications in the language, Done and Not-Done--which applied to all questions of value. If the seeds which the collectors found were sweet, ...
