Kris

Well i'm Kris, i'm 25, and i live just outside of Sedley in the West Midlands. I have been in bands most of my life, every since i was in High school. I play rhythm and lead guitar. I've been playing for about 12 years or so, and i ain't bored of it yet! I have my on and off moments, there was a period this year from when my last band split up in December that i did not pick a guitar up for about 7 months afterwards! The last band i was in split up after 7 years or so of playing together, which in band terms is very good. I made some good frinds along the way, but in December 2006 we decided to call it a day. I was looking for bigger things, to which in July '07, i took an audition from a band called Days of Ruin, based in Cannock. Their music is new, modern and heavy but still melodic, everything that the music i was playing before was not. I was added to the line-up, and so far i have managed to learn a set of 7 songs, all original. Things are looking up again! The lads of DOR all share the same sense of humor and are extremely talented musicians. I hope to grow with them and hopefully even try to further myself in the process. Anyway, as a final thought...Life, like Rock n' Roll, should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Jack Daniels in one hand - Rizzla in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO, What a Ride!
