About Me
For Albarka, the first Electro-parties she ever went
to were like a revelation. She was memorised instantly
and once her passion for electronic music ripened, she
had no choice but to start mixing on turntables
herself.
She started her carrier as a DJ in Paris. From the
beginning, she exhibited a great openness towards a
broad range of music, an aptitude largely attributed
to her French and Senegalese origins. She played at events
(K-Lounge, Caves Le Chapelais, Next One...) and in the
trendy district of Le Marais in bars like Mixer Bar
and Oh Fada amongst others.
Later, she began playing in several of Berlins
renowned clubs like Panorama Bar and Watergate.
Albarka builds up her sets like stories, usually
unfolding their tale through an eclectic blend of
sounds and a mélange of both strength and quiescence.
She's currently concentrating on music production.
