For those of you that don't know us, we are Diva & TheBigGroove ~aka~ Michele & Joe Barr. Diabetes is a disease that has touched both of our families and taken the lives of loved ones. It is a cause that is near and dear to us. Michele sings for INDAGROOVE, and is the female vocalist for Legends Entertainment. We also run Diamonds In The Rough Promotion, which Michele founded in 1991. We specialize in promoting and managing new talent, as well as promotions for established artists. All of this mixes to create.... ROCK THE CAUSE! Rock The Cause is an annual charity event to raise money for Diabetes Research and Awareness. Rock The Cause is designed for all ages because this terrible disease knows no age limits. Our goal is to bring incredible talent together on one stage, to be heard by everyone, to be one voice, to Rock The Cause!
This year ROCK THE CAUSE is taking a little different path ..... 106.7 The FOX has taken the reins! We are proud to announce that the bands performing are THE COUNCIL; DUST & BONES; DOWNFALL; BOB PROBLEM & THE AUTOMATICS, and INDAGROOVE! Our thanx to all of these incredible musicians for donating their time and talent because they believe in Rock The Cause. In addition to the great music, we will have 50/50 raffle, door prizes and lots of fun! Proceeds will be going to the American Diabetes Association. This event will be held Sunday May 3, 2009 12:00pm - 8:00pm in The Teal Room at the America's Best Value Inn & Suites; 450 E. Pershing Road (across from Jackson Ford); Decatur, Illinois More information to be announced!
