About Me

Who and or what is Mesani? A group? A movement? An enterprise? Well, to be honest, its all of the above! Mesani, meaning universal beauty, is the brainchild of two young, ambitious sisters from New York. During the year of 1995, while in their native stomping grounds of Flatbush, Brooklyn, Bianca (11) and Sasha (13) joined forces with a mutual friend to form a hip-hop/R&B trio. With influences from all genres of music, angelic voices, dynamic lyrics and tight harmonies, Mesani was bound for success or so they thought! Unfortunately, the trials and tribulations of adolescents combined with the struggle to get a deal proved to be too much for the teens and they eventually dismantled in 1998.
♥ ♥ ♥ During the years that followed, Bianca and Sasha, ventured into other areas of artistic expression. Sasha, studying fashion/design and eventually launching a clothing line (Mesani Inc.) and Bianca honing her skills as a writer by creating a vast body of work that includes: songs, poetry, short stories and screen plays, some of which have been published and received numerous awards. Although, these new branches of artistry brought tremendous joy, there was still a plaguing desire to pursue their musical careers. Due to this, solo efforts were attempted, but it wasnt long before Sasha and Bianca reunited once again to bring their dream of musical stardom into fruition.
♥ ♥ ♥ Now ten years later, with the joint talents of: vocalist, lyricist, fashion/interior design, poet and journalist, Bianca (21) and Sasha (23) are ready to take on the world, not just as artist, but as entrepreneurs. Watch out...Mesani's coming!!!
