Keith MacKendrick II was born and raised in South Florida. One could say he was born into the music world as his father (Keith MacKendrick Sr. AKA K.D. Mac) is a very talented saxophone player and songwriter. In the late 1950's K.D. Mac was in one of the first Rock & Roll bands in West Palm Beach, FL "The Roxsters". He later when on to play the saxophone with "The Champs" and wrote many songs with Jimmy Seals and Dash Crofts. Some say like father like son! However, Keith II went on to write his own style of music and guitar playing as well as honing in on his vocal abilities. His musical influences are Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, John Lennon & The Beatles to name a few. Record producers have compared his style of music to Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Randy Newman. Over the past 18 years he has performed throughout South Florida at many of the local clubs and festivals (including "Sunfest" and "Riverwalk Blues Festival"). Keith has also been a featured guitarist at 3 Guitars XVI, XX & XXVIII at "The Orange Door". His passion for "The Arts" is endless as he is an artist in every sense of the word. He not only writes, sings and plays guitar, but having majored in Art in college he has quite the gift for drawing and painting as well. Typically Keith performs with a 3 piece band (AKA Electric Church). Although depending on the venue you may catch him playing either solo with acoustic guitar or electric guitar with anywheres from a 2 to 7 piece band.
