awwlstars.comWHPR TV-33 and AWWL Big Time Wrestling have announced a deal that will resurrect the Original Big Time Wrestling program back to Detroit after a 35-year hiatus.The program will be taped once a month at the TV-33 Studios in Highland Park with all the show tapings being free with tickets available on a first come first served basis the day of the taping or through contests on TV-33 programs. The first taping will occur on Saturday, November 14th at 6:00pm with the doors opening at 5:00pm. WHPR TV-33 will air the program simultaneously on the web through tv33whpr.com and on their station Saturday Nights at 8:00pm and Monday Nights at 9:00pm beginning November 28th.A spokesman for the AWWL states that the program will be a mix of exclusive classic matches not seen on TV in more than 30 years featuring legends such as The Sheik, Bobo Brazil, and Dick The Bruiser as well as a mix of new stars for today’s generation such as AWWL Heavyweight Champion, Whipdog Johnson, and the Human Highlight Reel Sabu.The program will be also competing on a local level on Monday Nights with the WWE’s flagship show Monday Night Raw. The spokesman adds that Detroit is still a hotbed for good family friendly wrestling action, and it’s about time that someone has given the viewers a good alternative on Saturday nights.The new programs will incorporate cutting-edge material as well as fan interaction on their website awwlstars.com.
