The All In Blues Band is a psychedelic blues group formed in 2007 in the Texas Hill Country. San Marcos bluesman Adam Johnson joined up with bassist Jacob Christian in May of '07 to rock the Katherine Anne Porter School talent show to the ground...a loud, intense, Hendrixesque jam of "Killin' Floor" was their weapon. The first show (before "All-In Blues" was adopted as the name of the group) was a great success and gathered many to the support of the dynamic psychedelic duo. Guitarist Curtis Clogston then joined the band. He brought with him his knowledge of all genres of music from blues to metal.
In November of '07, the All In Blues Band played Java Jive, a benefit for the Katherine Anne Porter School with other Texas bands (Zydeco Blanco, El Tule, Devil's Hollow, The Hudsons, and Pride & Joy). The benefit was a big success. Over $8,000 was raised for the school. That's more than Java Jive headliners, James McMurtry, Alejandro Escovedo and Van Wilks had raised in previous years. Adam Johnson and Curtis Clogston took the stage with Pride & Joy guitarist Chris Castaneda and Devil's Hollow to finish off the night with an epic blues jam.
In December '07, The trio was joined by Briane Willis. A student of historical Texas band the Texas Tornados' drummer Ernie Durawa, she brought with her years of drumming experience and her talents as a vocalist. The quartet played another benefit show for the Katherine Anne Porter School in March of '08. At this time, the All In Blues Band's set list consisted of more original songs than other previous shows. The crowd could be seen dancing during any song.
The All In Blues Band is currently working on recording a demo CD and refining their original tunes.
We are currently accepting donations to help us expand our sound with better equipment, record a quality demo, and deal with outrageous gas prices to get to and from shows. If you contribute more than $15, we will send you a T-Shirt and a copy of the demo when it comes out. Your contribution will not be easily forgotten.
