About Me

John-John is from Hartford, CT. I began to display my talent at the age of two. My first talent show was at the age of three. I begin a mentorship, which led me to become a drummer at the local church. At the age of 10, I was featured with my father on the Album of the National Convention of Gospel Choruses and Choirs; where the late Dr. Thomas A. Dorsey was president. I also became interested in playing the keyboard. I have played the drums and keyboard for various groups and choirs such as Voices of Deliverancein Hartford,CT, Kurt Carr at GMWA in Cincinnati, OH, the Deliverance Evangelistic Church Youth Choir from Burlington, NJ, and the Willingboro Community Choirin Willingboro, NJ and Willingboro High School band where I was nominated for Who"s Who in music in 1988. I have also had the priviledge to play for artists such as Rodney Posey, Hubert Powell, Greg Virgil and Praise Inc., Patrick Dopson, Kent Henry, Noel Humphrey, Jerry Smith(keyboardist for the Mississippi Mass Choir), Rance Allen, and Ron Kenoly. I graduated from Stillman college on May 10, 2002 with a B.S. degree in Music. I reside in Tuscaloosa, AL where I am currently the Band Director at Daystar Family Church and married to Nichole Redding of 4 years and we are the proud parents of a baby boy, MJ. My inspirations are: Johnnie Redding Sr. (dad), Lannie Spann McBride, Ben Tankard, Hubert Powell, Greg Virgil, Calvin Carter and Patrick Dopson. My vision is to bless God’s people through music. My desire is that the presence of God will be sensed through the music that He has placed in my heart. <found this music layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com
