I spin vinyl at any location where people appreciate music. I spin indie, electro, 80's, new-wave, retro-clash, dance punk, disco rock, darkwave, house, and whatever else I think fits in at the time I want to try and fit it in.
..I am a DJ and percussionist/drummer from Coeur d'Alene. I enjoy playing live music and spinning good music on vinyl. I am always trying to create something new even when I am spinning tracks that you have heard before.
I try to steer clear of the top 40 scene because there are so many places in Spokane/CDA that already recycle all that overplayed radio stuff. Not that its not sometimes great music, but there are so many incredible indie and underground bands out there that never get radio airtime .... thats the music I want to find and release into your eardrums.
I want to play music for people who enjoy music and want to dance to good music, because it's good music....not 'cause they heard it on the radio three million times and it's the popular song to dance to. <
I play music that crosses many genres and styles, from old jazz to indie rock, electro to hiphop, or whatever seems interesting to play at the moment. when I'm not attempting to get people to dance, my focus tends toward music that is more Idm and experimental. I consider myself more of a beatscape DJ. I mix vinyl beats with thrift store samples and live vocals to create something neither you nor I have ever heard before. Maybe the soundtrack to an Indie film would be a good association... whatever I create I want it to be something different... something I would want to snowboard to...And my hope is that other people will enjoy my music as well.
