For those who don't know who the real Fardoche is, it doesn't really matter. But this Fardoche is a French Quebecer producer-slash-mouse-clicker-slash-bedroom-knob-fidgeter with no extravagant story to tell, beside that he loves red wine & cheese.
About the music, Some say that his stuff sound simply f***** weird, other say that it sound like a softened vinyl that was found under the sun in a back alley. Nevertheless, his sound is not clean as electro house nor nasty as French crunchy electro but perhaps a better creative term to name it would be: electro-farm. And to push the analogy further, it would be electro-dilapidated-old-farm style, with all its flaws and faulty features that an old farmhouse can hold next to a dirt road. Disfunctionnal, unique and charming.
Fardoche like to use computer generated voice(c.g.v.), beatbox, moog & sampler like characters in his tunes. C.g.v.'s are treated respectfully like real comedians. They sound a little bizarre but are friendly and very cooperatives to delivers Fardoche absurd stories on the imaginary stage. It's a nice and unorthodox way to discover the Quebec French humor culture. If you don't speak French, no worries, Fardoche will translate the pertinent dialogs to text on his the next coming album that he's presently working on.
Fardoche is also working on other projects under different aliases doing all sort of electronic music. But that’s an other bedtime story.
