What the heck is a Gastropub?!
gastropub:
[gastro- in gastronomic, etc. + pub]
Brit. a public house which specializes in serving high-quality food (as opposed to pub-grub)
Gastropubs were born in England in the early 1990s, combining the charm of your typical public house with a restaurant menu far surpassing that of a typical pub. In recent years, these establishments have begun springing up in America. Gastropubs feature a relaxed atmosphere and cuisine prepared as well as in the finest restaurants; the menu complementing the assortment of beers and wines offered. Knights on Main is proud to say it is the first American Gastropub north of Chicago.
Not only do we have a signature line of martinis and fine brews on our tap, we have an extensive, as well as eclectic, menu. Appetizers such as "The Round Table," which features a variety of gourmet cheese, fresh seasonal fruit, and hearty bread; or "Saki Ahi Mahi", a divine sashimi grade Ahi-Tuna with ginger, wasabi cooli, and a honey/soy/ginger reduction to die for. And that is just the start!!!
Be sure to stop in and sample the culinary delights of our head chef Tony and his talented sous chefs, Stevo and Yogi. See and taste for yourself what a cuisine-conscious tavern is all about! Let us impress you!
